Uber is partnering with AMA to offer an exclusive event December 5, 2016 from 9:00am to 5:30pm for driver-partners to exchange their current registration for a Class 1-55 Livery Vehicle Registration, as per provincial regulation. 

Uber will subsidize the cost of this exchange up to $20 per driver-partner at this event. The average cost of this exchange ranges from $20-30.

*Only clients that currently have a registration will be serviced. There will be Uber representatives on-site to upload the new registration. 

What you need to bring:

  1. Proper photo identification such as a driver’s license.

  2. Valid vehicle registration and insurance *Note: If the vehicle is registered under joint (dual) names, please bring a completed Authorization for Vehicle Services form to allow for the exchange.

  3. Old license plate for exchange, you may choose to keep the plate if you desire.

·         Location: AMA Calgary Main (4700 17 Avenue SW,  Calgary AB T3E 0E3)

·         Date and Time: Monday, December 5, 2016 from 9:00am to 5:30pm. 

 In addition to Uber's cost subsidizing efforts, AMA will also be waiving registration fees to any driver who chooses to sign up for an AMA
 membership while at the event.

* Services will be available on a first come first serve basis. Demand will be high and wait times will vary.

You will need to update the license plate on your vehicle to match your new registration. However, you may keep your old license plate. The cost of a new license plate is included in the registration cost.

A Livery Vehicle Registration looks almost identical to other Alberta Vehicle Registrations with a few key differences.
